THE APPARATUS
Discover the range of apparatus we work with in our studio and the different apparatus class types we have on offer
GROUP REFORMER CLASSES
We run small group Reformer classes for upto 4 people in our Reformer studio.
You will work through the Classical Reformer exercises, appropriate for the level of class you are attended. New exercises will be introduced step by step to help you really understand the movement and how to get the best from it. Your teacher will guide and support you to work with your body, offering technical tips or subtle modifications that will help you master each exercise.
As these classes take place in our Apparatus Studio we may also bring in other apparatus from time to time, such as the Wunda Chairs or barrels, to help you find connections that will ultimately improve your Reformer work.
GROUP TOWER CLASSES
We run small group Tower classes for up to 4 people. The Tower is a brilliant introduction to the apparatus for those new to the apparatus work, as well as a fantastic piece to challenge more advanced clients on! You will leave a Tower class with your body feeling truly worked, and amazing!
Your teacher will guide you through a carefully designed class that will help you strengthen and mobilise your body in different ways. As the Tower work is done on the Classical mat we may also bring in some elements of mat work and barrel work from time to time to bring everything together and help you feel how each piece links together.
PRIVATE SESSIONS
Work with us on a 1:1 basis, benefiting from the use of the full studio system, including apparatus you might not necessarily use in a group class. In a private 1:1 session you may work across different pieces of apparatus according to your individual needs. Work at your own pace with dedicated 1:1 support from your teacher.
Private sessions are available on a regular or ad hoc basis.
Private 1:1 sessions may take place in either our Reformer or Tower studio and tend to involve a variety of apparatus.
OPEN STUDIO - SUPERVISED SELF PRACTICE
NEW for 2026, our Open Studio - Supervised Self Practice sessions give you the opportunity to work semi-independently in a manner more similar to the way you would have worked in Joseph Pilates’ studio.
Work around the apparatus studio, follow your own personal programme, with the benefit of a teacher on hand to provide guidance and support.
-
You will need to be relatively confident working on a semi-independent manner on the apparatus.
If you already have 1:1s with us and would like to drop into Open Studio sessions on a regular or ad hoc basis let us know and we will prepare an Open Studio programme for you. You can join Open Studio sessions at any time.
If you usually attend group classes, we recommend getting a 1:1 in with us first so we can put a programme together for you. Please get in touch to discuss availability and book in.
Open Studio sessions are bookable with a Group Apparatus Class Pass (the same as our Group Reformer and Group Tower classes).
-
Our Open Studio sessions have a maximum capacity of 4 people booked into a session, the same as our Reformer and Tower classes.
You will all be working on your own practice, so may each be using different apparatus at any one time.
Our teachers love a bit of supervised self practice for ourselves so you may sometimes find yourselves in class with us too!
