Past Event: Wellness Sunday - Members Event

Relaxation and and rejuvenation with some wonderful guided meditations and movement sessions to calm the mind, relax the body and bring your focus to your breath

An enlightening talk exploring the principles of breathing that are rooted in the Pilates method. How modern perspectives regarding the role regular breathwork can play in helping us manage stress, sleep, pain and more

A classical Pilates mat session exploring how Joseph Pilates instructed the breath in his contrology mat work, and exploring how the breath can change how an exercise feels. An inclusive session with layers and adaptations to exercises offered to those who need them.

In this enlightening talk, Dr. Liz Leek, a local GP and Integrative Doctor specialising in the root causes of women’s health concerns, guided us through the four key pillars of wellbeing: nutrition, sleep, movement, and emotional nourishment. These foundational elements profoundly influence your hormones and overall health.

Providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the menstrual cycle, the hormones that drive it, how they are produced, and, most importantly, how small, sustainable lifestyle shifts can help you rebalance your hormones to take control of your health and wellbeing.

Join us at The Pilates Studios at Lavant House for an enlightening and refreshing workshop designed to help you move past fear of pain and embrace a more active lifestyle. Our expert presenters are here to guide and support you, with exercises and techniques to help alleviate pain and build resilience.

We are delighted to have expert physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates guru Trish Formby join us for this workshop. Trish is a renowned sports physiotherapist, rehabilitation expert, and author of "Body Fit, Body Fix". Trish's sucessful practice in Kensington, London was one of the first clinics to integrate manual therapy with Clinical Pilates. She is privilaged to have treated a wide range of professionals, including actors, artists, musicians and elite athletes as well as Mums, retirees and office workers of all ageswith all sorts of conditions. She now runs a small practice from home. Her book "Body Fit, Body Fix" was published earlier this year and seeks to empower readers with the tools to help themselves stay fit and active. This is something Trish feels passionately about; with education and exercise an integral part of treatment for many conditions. Trish will be leading a special presentation as part of our workshop that is sure to inform and inspire you.

We are so excited for our next members event. These events are a special collaboration between Be:Poised Pilates and Pilates with Claire, exclusively for our membership subscribers. Our last members event was extremely popular and we were blown away by the feedback.

Our next event will be based around the theme of moving with “zest and pleasure”. We hope the sun will be shining on our studios for this uplifting event.
